Empty Bowls in Marshall, TX was a great success! Thank you to all of those who participated in the event to make it such a wonderful and exciting event. The community came together and raised over $3300 for the Marshall Food Pantry.
I cannot wait for the Empty Bowls event in Dallas, TX February 22nd! Tickets for this event may be purchased at NTFB.org for $25 or $30 at the door.
My husband and I hosted over 250 Marshallites at the Marshall Visual Art Center Sunday, February 3, 2008 from 11am to 2pm and raised $3300 in ticket sales and other donations. Something different than the typical donate and expect nothing but good service, attendees received a bowl of their choice made by locals of East Texas and some yummy food samples from locally run restaurants. All proceeds help the Marshall Food Pantry. What a success!
This event is worldwide and it's mission is to end hunger by starting in a neighborhood near you! For more information about Empty Bowls please visit the official website www.emptybowls.org
